Outlook supports sending from a secondary connected account for Microsoft owned domains such as @outlook.com, @live.com, @hotmail.com but has not implemented this functionality for third-party domains.

Outlook 2010 can’t access Mail after Updates from 03 05 2019

The article explains why hyperlinks may not be working in Outlook and provides several solutions to fix the issue. These methods will let you open links in your Outlook emails again with no problem, no matter which version you use - Outlook 365, 2021, 2019, 2016, 2013, 2010, and lower.

Please note that once Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2010 is blocked from connecting to Exchange Online, we are unable to restore the ability to connect. Users can immediately start using Outlook on the web through a browser on their Windows (or any other) device. Outlook on the web connects to Exchange Online and allows the user to interact with their email, contacts, calendar, groups, public folders and tasks.

Then I closed Outlook 2010, and opened it, the message still showed up, but then after clicking "Send/Receive all folders" a few times, the "Send /Receive Progress" screen showed up again and in this way, I was able to receive new mails.

I spent way too many hours surfing the web for solutions, none of which worked, after this problem started suddenly a couple weeks ago. I was using Outlook 2010 with Mailwasher Pro & my main email is on Spectrum (charter.net) with additional gmail & icloud accounts. I still wonder what caused the problem (perhaps Outlook 2010 is no longer supported by MS as some have suggested). I researched alternate email clients & settled on Thunderbird by Mozilla (free to download from their website). It took awhile to learn the UI & set it up the way I like it, but so far I love it -- & no more GD error messages!

And then the dreaded IMAP header issue. Depending on the tech I spoke with I got different answers. One thing was common. All blamed Microsoft. I am convinced it is not Microsoft, but Spectrum trying to port three companies into one. Even different help documents at spectrum give different IMAP, SMTP, port & security settings. So after a month, I still must send a test post from Outlook 10 or go to the spectrum site to get mail.

I have been plagued with this problem using Windows 7, Outlook 2010 and Spectrum email. i have tried every suggestion posted. I have talked to MS and Spectrum, etc. Today I discovered something that solved the problem. In the lower left corner of the outlook page there was a tab that said filtered where it normally shows total emails and unread emails. I don't know how it got set up. If you right click on it and surf through the settings you will likely find an imap filter set up. I cleared that filter and the problem went away. No adverse consequences to the rest of Outlook. I tried to get back to that filter set up area but can't find it. Another way which may clear it is to go to view and clear view. I stumbled on that while trying to find out how to get back to that filter screen.

Hi Diane, can I message or call you directly? I recently got a new HP elitebook, and set up access to MS Outlook and got my gmail, no problem, but then I tried importing my old Outlook pst file because I was missing all of my contacts. What resulted was that I got my contacts but I now cannot get any new mail since that action. My Outlook is stuck and saying it is synchronizing subscribed folders and I'm also getting sidebar notifications from Microsoft of new mail in "Gmail2" but don't know where to find it - doesn't show up in my Outlook software. I don't know how to fix!

You can let outlook set it up with a new pst then add the pst after outlook is open - either using File > Open & Export > Open Outlook Data File or in Account Settings > Data Files tab. You'll need to point the POP accounts to the pst files on the Email tab - select the account then lick Change Folder at the bottom.

this just changes the theme on ms office 2010, it only changes the headings and tabs, it does not change the body of outlook from white to black, this is not dark mode. this is just the stupid theme setting. not any help at all.

i am really disappointing with outlook 2013, its really killing my eyes, there is no such color which would be convinient to read emails, that was my big mistake to upgrade my ms office from 2010 to 2013.. so sad !!

Google has been kind enough to give lots of advance notice that it will stop providing "Less secure app access" to third party applications (image of email below). I use Outlook 2013 and 2019 (desktop app, not Office 365) to access gmail via IMAP. The email also advised that I need to upgrade to Outlook 2019.

I just did a test by turning off "Less secure app access". Neither Outlook 2013 nor 2019 is able to access Gmail's IMAP servers. I have been unable to find the details of what specific things make access "less secure" so that I can try to redress the problem.

This was tried on Outlook 2019. I find it very odd that Oauth2 is unavailable because the Google message about dropping less secure apps access after May 30 (above) explicitly suggests Outlook 2019 as a solution.

Similarly, instead of forwarding Outlook calendar events from my local computer by having Outlook connect to Gmail, I save an existing event as an *.ics file, then use webmail to access Gmail and send it to recipients.

I am using Outlook 2010 and have for years. Some time ago the option to download pictures in emails disappeared. I recently upgraded the OS from win7 to win 10 and there was no change (not that I was expecting any). Today I have unchecked the check boxes in the trust centre download and yet still the pictures do not download. I have checked out a number of help sites and there seems to be many with this problem without one solution being offered by anyone.

I have the exact problem as Aaron. outlook 365 is my client for hotmail, and gmail. images do not appear. option to view message in browser only. if I fwd I see the images, send to myself to/from hotmail/gmail when message is received, same issue. I have tried everything here and privacy settings in windows. I have shut off firewall and defender settings. removed other Anti-virus. has anyone found an fix for this

However, you can import and open mailbox items from OST files in Outlook 2019, 2016, 2013, 2010, and 2007 after converting the OST file into Outlook supportable PST format. Unlike OST, Personal Storage Table or PST Outlook data files can be opened and imported into any Outlook profile or account.

If your Outlook profile is active and accessible, you can export the mailbox items from your Exchange, Office 365, Outlook.com, or IMAP email profile to PST format using Outlook Import/Export wizard. If you have OST files that belong to deleted or disabled accounts or old email accounts that are no longer accessible, you can use a third-party OST to PST converter tool, such as Stellar Converter for OST. The software converts the inaccessible or orphaned OST files into PST file format with the original folder structure and hierarchy. Further, it can export the mail items from OST directly to the existing Outlook profile, live Exchange Server, or Office 365.Below we have discussed both methods to convert and open OST file(s) in Outlook 2021, 2019, 2016, 2013, 2010, and 2007.

Microsoft Outlook has the ability to set up customized views for items such as email located in folders. Sometimes, particularily after a large import from another account such as Gmail or an IMAP-based account, the custom view settings hide the emails from view. The solution is to reset the view for the folder or the entire mail box.

We are experiencing this issue with Rightfax 16.6 6447The oauth token expires after 90 days and we have to login to the Office365 POP mailbox from Rightfax and renew the token. It renews every hour for 89 days prior to this.UT: Failed to get updated token for POP3. The server denied this request due to client authentication failure. (-9917).I noticed this thread hasn't been updated in awhile. What is the resolution from Office365?Why can't we change the default property Refresh Token Max Inactive Time to 360 days?

Several of my emails each day go to the Junk folder. It is important to note that THESE MESSAGES DO NOT GET MARKED AS JUNK. They are simply moved to the Junk folder, seemingly before they ever get to any of my devices (server action). For instance, messages from my sister's iCloud address ALWAYS go directly to the Junk folder, but ARE NOT marked as Junk: the color of the text does not get changed, and there is NO "Mark as Not Junk" anywhere in the interface. Obviously this address is in my Contacts, as it is my sister. I have lots of emails in my Junk folder like this. They are not the color of the Junk messages, yet they are in the Junk folder. This occurred with the Junk filtering disabled on my Mac, and persists after enabling it.

I have been having the same problem for about 9 months now, and it is driving me nuts. After many years of absolutely fantastic junk mail filtering, where emails were simply marked as potential spam but left in my Inbox for me to decide (but it was always correct), a few updates ago a junk folder appeared all by itself (I didn't want it or ask for it but I can't delete it), and now 10-20 emails a day go into it, almost all of which are NOT junk - as others have said, many are even from me to myself! 2ff7e9595c
